BUSHFLYING

This course is offered in two versions: one for pilots with no tailwheel experience and another for experienced pilots. Depending on your skills and progress, we’ll dive deeper into techniques and practice. However, both versions cover all the essential concepts of this type of flying and how to be prepared for any emergency.

During the course, you’ll learn how to recognize different surfaces and terrains, and how to take off and land in the smallest space possible—skills that will help you get the best performance out of your aircraft.

Based on your progress, we’ll also start working on techniques for short takeoffs and landings, and an introduction to landing on temporary strips with various surface types.

We’ll cover all the essential techniques for mountain flying, such as ridge crossing, turn radius in confined valleys, terrain and obstacle evaluation on our landing strips, and much more. You’ll also learn STOL techniques, as well as the theoretical and practical aspects of tailwheel flying, mountain flying, and bush flying.
