“His training as a pilot begins at the age of 16 when he starts flying hang gliders. A few years later, he obtains the ultralight pilot license, and two years after that, the instructor qualification, starting to teach at the Torremocha de Jiloca flight school.
He is passionate about flying, but also about taking photographs due to his profession as a photographer. As a result, he has embarked on numerous journeys and adventures, starting as a participant in the Iberian Tour, then flying on various journeys through France, the Tour de France Ulm, Morocco, and numerous trips to the Alps, captivated by the beauty of its mountains, as well as the French Central Massif, full of high-altitude airports and mountain airstrips.
In 2010, he won the Geiger Cup, a benchmark European competition in mountain flying. However, in subsequent years, he was unable to participate due to being in Alaska during the spring-summer season.
He has traveled through many European countries: Portugal, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the United Kingdom, and to more distant ones such as Jamaica, Thailand, or Kenya. He has organized air routes for groups of European ultralights in Spain and also for Spanish pilots in Portugal, France, and the United Kingdom.
He believes that the most beautiful thing about being a pilot is continually learning, which is why he undergoes constant pilot training. He has completed numerous specialized courses, such as mountain courses in the Alps, ski landing courses, obtaining the French ultralight license with qualifications for aerial work in photography and filming, banner towing, and surveillance and patrolling. He also obtained the ultralight license in the Czech Republic, where he took a specialization course in tailwheel flying.
He also obtained the PPL license in Spain and later in the United States. Several years ago, he obtained the commercial license in the United States and already has his next course in mind.
In the fall and winter seasons, he works as a flight instructor at the Torremocha de Jiloca airfield in Teruel. He is qualified for D.C.G. (trikes) and is a specialist in tailwheel aircraft, with skis, and in mountain flying.
Since 2011, he spends the spring-summer seasons in Alaska, flying his Piper SuperCub, the green machine, mostly in the Wrangell St. Elias National Park area, engaging in bush flying with prestigious local pilots such as Paul Claus or Loni Habertzsetzer, and taking countless photographs of the incredible landscapes, with the goal of publishing a book in the future.”
“A practicing lawyer, she has worked for many years in the Public Defender’s Office in Teruel, a job she is passionate about, where she also manages a business consultancy.
Specializing in international law, she provides aeronautical advisory services for several important companies in the sector.
In her effort to contribute to the challenging task of promoting and disseminating aviation in our country, she has been the vice president of a national ultralight association and an ultralight member of the Aragonese Federation.
She has also taken advantage of numerous trips and flights, both within and outside Spain, to write various flight articles that have been published, along with photographs taken by Arturo, in specialized aviation magazines such as Aviación Deportiva or Avión y Piloto, a magazine in which she continues to actively collaborate.”
